01. Yala National Park.

Yala National Park, which borders the Indian Ocean, is Sri Lanka's most visited and second biggest national park. There are five blocks in the park, two of which are currently available to the public, as well as bordering parks. Ruhuna National Park (Block 1) and Kumana National Park or 'Yala East' for the bordering territory each have their own designations. It is located in the country's southeast area, inside the provinces of Southern and Uva. The park is around 300 kilometers (190 miles) from Colombo and comprises 979 square kilometers (378 square miles). Yala was established as a wildlife refuge around 1900.

Ella is a tiny town in Uva Province's Badulla District. It is located roughly 200 kilometers east of Colombo at an elevation of 1,041 meters above sea level. The area boasts a diverse bio-diversity, with a wide range of vegetation and wildlife. Ella is popular for both day hikers and more experienced treks. Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock are two popular excursions in the region,

Some of the most unique spots to see in Ella are Ella Rock, Ravana Falls, Little Adam's Peak, Nine Arch Bridge, Dhowa Rock Temple, and Ravana's Cave.


04. Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya is a city in central Sri Lanka's tea country highlands. The organically planted Hakgala Botanical Gardens is home to monkeys , as well as roses and tree ferns. Galway's Land National Park, which is densely wooded, is a haven for indigenous and migratory bird species such as bulbuls and flycatchers.

05. Pinnawala elephant orphanage.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery, and captive breeding facility for wild Asian elephants located in Pinnawala hamlet, 13 kilometers northeast of Kegalle town in Sri Lanka's Sabaragamuwa Province. Pinnawala boasts the world's largest captive elephant herd. Pinnawala was home to 96 elephants, comprising 43 males and 68 females from three generations.


06. Sinharaja.

Sinharaja Forest Reserve, a biodiversity hotspot in Sri Lanka, is the country's only surviving section of primary tropical rainforest. More over 60% of the trees are indigenous, and many are considered rare. It is of worldwide importance, having been designated by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site.


07. Anuradhapura.

Anuradhapura is a significant city in Sri Lanka. It is the capital city of Sri Lanka's North Central Province and the administrative center of the Anuradhapura District. Anuradhapura is one of Sri Lanka's historic capitals, famed for the well-preserved remnants of an ancient Sinhala civilisation.

And also Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka's first planned city and the country's first historical capital, was founded in the fifth century BC and offers a fascinating glimpse of a stately, well-planned pre-Christian metropolis of massive Buddhist shrines and monasteries, splendid palaces, pavilions, and parks, bathing ponds, and vast reservoirs.


08. Bentota Beach.

09. Sri Pada / Adam's Peak

Adam's Peak, mountain in southwestern Sri Lanka (Ceylon), 7360 feet (2243 m) high and 11 miles (18 km) northeast of Ratnapura, is well known for the Sri Pada, "sacred footprint," a 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) rock formation near the summit, which in Buddhist tradition is held to be the footprint of the Buddha.

The mountain can take two to four hours to climb and one to two hours to descend, depending on the way selected, the crowd, and the climbers' physical level.


10. Mirissa.

Mirissa is a tiny town on Sri Lanka's south coast, in the Matara District of the Southern Province. It is located around 150 kilometers south of Colombo at an elevation of 4 meters above sea level. Mirissa is a renowned tourist destination due to its beach and nightlife.

And Mirissa is the main fishing port on Sri Lanka's south coast, and it is famous for its tuna, mullet, snapper, and butterfish.
