The Longest and Most Exciting Night Drive to Ella.

Tourism is, as we all know, one of Sri Lanka's most vital sectors. It makes a substantial contribution to the country's economy. Ella, among the several cities on this island, is one of the most appealing to visitors from all over the world. Even though the travel from Colombia to Ella takes more than 5 hours, since it is my vacation month, I decided to take an early morning trip there. I'm ecstatic.🤞 On my way to Ella, I got the opportunity to stop by Lipton Seat in Haputahle. You will start by looking for Lipton's Seat at the Dambetenne Tea Factory. Lipton's Seat is a high viewing point in the Poonagala mountains, as well as the location of Lipton's Seat. At a height of 1970 meters above sea level and a distance of 18 kilometers from Haputale,

after passing through breathtaking scenery, I arrived at Lipton's Seat, which is surrounded by several vistas, including Adam's Peak, Ella Rock, and the well-known World's End. Because I arrived at sunrise, the location had a picture-perfect appearance.

I stayed there for about two hours, surrounded by tea plants and eating snacks from a neighboring tent. My trip to Ella has begun once more. Just when I was about to approach Elle, near the road, I saw Reavana Fall, which is a stunning and historically significant waterfall. I just came to a halt in my car to see the beauty of this water fall. Despite the fact that the location was quite congested, it was descending from the Ravana cave without regard to anyone. According to mythology, King Ravana ruled Sri Lanka, and the Ravana Falls are named after him. This is between mileposts 12 and 13 on the Ella-Wellawaya road. It is a well-known tourist attraction in Sri Lanka and one of the country's greatest waterfalls.

The Ravana Ella cave is near the waterfall and is situated at the base of a cliff. Human occupancy dates back over 25,000 years, according to excavations in the cave. It is thought to be the cave where Sita was imprisoned, and it is a famous tourist destination. After seeing some of the most spectacular places along the route, I eventually arrived at my final destination, "Ella."

Ella is a tiny town in Sri Lanka's Uva Province's Badulla District. It is located around 200 kilometers east of Colombo, at an elevation of 1,041 meters above sea level. The area boasts a diverse bio-diversity with a wide range of vegetation and wildlife. And Ella is most known for her treks. Ella is a popular trail for both day hikers and more advanced trekkers. Little Adam's Peak and Ella Rock are two popular hikes in the region. It was around 2 p.m. on that day when I arrived at my hotel. I was a little tired due to the lengthy travel from Colombo. So I went to sleep without realizing it after having a shower. I woke up around 6 pm in the evening, had tea in my room, and decided to walk around most of the waiting places in Ella town. When I arrived in Ella, it was a bit crowded with tourists, and it seemed like I had arrived in another country, as everyone else had stated. It has altered dramatically in the last several years. Once a calm, picturesque main street lined with local markets and eateries, it is now a pulsing hotspot packed with cool new cafés and bars, boutique boutiques, and an atmosphere reminiscent of an Asian tourist town.

As I previously stated, the town of Ella has to be one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful settings. If you're looking for a lively evening, go to one of the bars on the main street. Cafe Chill serves scrumptious beverages, smoothies, and a variety of cuisines while playing music till the early hours of the morning. That was one of the most gorgeous evenings I've ever experienced. When I got to the hotel late at night, they had planned a barbeque night for their guests, which I was also invited to. I went to bed after a night of tense barbecues.

After spending quality time with Ella, I got into my car to drive back to my house. I abruptly changed my mind and opted to visit another lovely location named "Mandramnuwara." From what I heard, Mandaram Nuwara is a tiny village in Sri Lanka's Central Province, at the foot of Pidurutalagala. Because it is surrounded by mountain ranges and is enveloped in mist for the bulk of the day, the town is also known as the "Misty City." I arrived at my second destination, "Manaramnuwara," after passing through many magnificent landscapes and tea states, as well as chilly Nuwaraeliya. It was twilight when I arrived at their location. The surroundings are spectacular, with meadows sprinkled with wildflowers, waterfalls, and vast pastures. The unusual aspect of this settlement is that, due to its mountainous location, it has never seen the first or last rays of the sun. Paddy agriculture is their primary source of income, but tea plantations may also be found in the area's rugged terrain. The people of Manaramnuwara are warm, kind, and down-to-earth. After a relaxing plunge in a river that comes down from Madramanuwara, and as a result of their friendly greeting, I was able to partake in their dinner, which included a variety of regional foods. It tasted fantastic.
