A Train Trip to Diyathalawa.

My favorite vacation spot is a cross-country excursion to my lovely island. As a result, I chose to travel to Diyathalawa, which is located in Uva Province's Badulla district. It is also a popular vacation area for locals.

At 8.30 a.m., a train from Colombo to Diyathalawa departed Fort Railway Station.

In second class, I was given a window seat. As a consequence, everything was visible from my seat. After passing over the most beautiful misty mountains, I arrived in Diyalathalawa at 5.00 pm, which is surrounded by pine trees.

For a brief moment, I believed I had arrived in heaven.

So, because the weather was cold that day, this night will be the most refreshing night of my life. I had a wonderful night in a lovely hotel with a barbeque night and fantastic DJ music.

As I previously stated, after spending a frigid night, I chose to visit fox hill, which is surrounded by massive pine trees. And after doing some research on the Sri Lanka Military Academy website, I discovered that fox hill is defined as follows: "They walked up a prominent hillock in the area and with the assistance of the Boer War prisoners who were stationed in Diyatalawa placed pieces of white granite depicting a fox and below it the name of the ship “HMS FOX” followed by the year 1913. Since then, to date this particular hillock is called “Fox Hill.”" and also " The “Fox Hill Supercross” derives its name from the fact that the track is situated in the Fox Hill area. In fact, the Fox Hill Supercross track built and maintained by the Sri Lanka Military Academy stands adjacent to Fox Hill." That was a fantastic experience.

The Nine Arch Bridge, sometimes known as the "bridge in the sky," was my next trip. it is a span bridge in Sri Lanka. according to Wikipedia It is one among the country's outstanding instances of colonial-era railway building. P. K. Appuhami, a native Ceylonese builder, is credited with designing the bridge in collaboration with British experts.

I've just finished my first day at the Diyathalawa without even realizing it.

As I bid my goodbyes to Diyathalawa the next day, I decided to pay a visit to Adisham Bungalow, a rural home in Haputhale that I passed by on my route to Colombo. I arrived at this buglow surrounded by foggy mountains and damp roads after going via magnificent roads and sights. The Benedictine monastery of Adisham presently resides there. A relic of St. Sylvester may be found in the chapel. The structure was designed by R. Booth and F. Webster. The architectural styles of Tudor and Jacabian Founded in 1931, construction began in 1927 at a height of 5,000 feet above sea level.

I landed in Colombo two days after travelling through all of the amazing attractions. And I hoped I could go back in time.
